Dear Parents and Guardians,
School administration became aware of a threatening Google Slides presentation late yesterday involving an eighth-grade student. We immediately began working aggressively with local law enforcement to investigate the situation, assess the threat, and take appropriate action.
The student is no longer on campus, and the threat has been neutralized. We are cooperating fully with law enforcement to pursue all applicable legal and criminal consequences. Due to student privacy laws, we cannot share additional details.
As an added precaution, there will be an increased armed security presence during this evening’s Curriculum Night. We understand the seriousness of this situation and want our families to know that we are taking every appropriate measure to maintain a safe environment.
Let me be clear: threats of any kind will not be tolerated. We take these incidents extremely seriously and will respond decisively to protect our students and staff. We will continue working closely with law enforcement to review our response and ensure our safety protocols remain strong and effective.
We ask that parents reinforce with their children the seriousness of creating or sharing threatening materials, regardless of intent. Students must immediately report any threats or safety concerns to a trusted adult or school official. Parents with specific concerns should contact the Middle School principals.
The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. We are committed to taking the necessary action to protect our school community and will not compromise on that responsibility.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
