School Counselors
School Counseling Mission Statement
The School Counseling Program provides assistance to students in the further development of skills necessary for personal success: encouraging positive character traits, coping with life’s difficulties, building cohesive relationships, and achieving academic success.
Through collaboration with administrators, teachers, students, and their families, local businesses, and post secondary institutions, the School Counseling program strives to promote and enhance academic, career, and personal development for all students.
How can I meet with my School Counselor?
Parents, students, and colleagues are welcome! Because School Counselors are often meeting with students or parents, it is best to schedule an appointment.
Email is the best way to contact your school counselor to make an appointment.
Comprehensive School Counseling Plan
The Chapter 339 School Counseling Plan is a requirement for all Pennsylvania school districts to have a comprehensive plan for school counseling services for students grades K - 12. The plan documents the mission, stakeholders, counselor roles, goals, curriculum and delivery system of the school counseling program. The plan is part of the School Code on Vocational Education and Title 22 Chapter 339 of the Pennsylvania Code. The plan is reviewed and approved every five years.
