"CV Happenings" is an email newsletter provided each week from the Chartiers Valley School Board. It is an opportunity to learn more about the latest happenings and upcoming events. The public is invited to sign up to receive CV Happenings in their inboxes. Click here to sign up.

The District utilizes the following avenues of communication to notify families of weather delays and cancellations:

  • Be sure to log in to Infinite Campus to verify your contact information and select your notification preferences for "Priority" notifications. You may choose to receive phone calls, text messages, and/or emails.

The District website, www.cvsd.net, is a great source of information regarding all aspects of the school.  

Chartiers Valley School District is pleased to have officially launched a bright and bold, responsive new website on June 21, 2019. Input gathered from parents, students, staff and analytics over the 2018-2019 school year year determined the need for a modern, mobile-friendly, easily navigable, and ADA compliant website design.

We have worked with a team of developers and designers to create a website which brings to life the CV story and serves the CV community.

While the site initially launched on June 21, it is important to note that the new site will continue to develop as content revisions and creations are made. A June launch date allows users and contributors to become familiar with the new site throughout the summer, and make revisions and adjustments prior to the hustle and bustle of back-to-school season.

Over the next year, you will notice additional pictures, graphics and information on the site as the project continues to evolve. As members of the CV community and users of the District website, you are invited and encouraged to participate in this project. When the new site goes live, please take some time to click around and submit any questions, concerns and compliments via the New Website Survey.

The District cooperates with approved community organizations by posting digital flyers online and distributing them electronically through our service provider, Peachjar.  As part of our efforts to be more environmentally friendly, embrace innovative technology, and maintain fiscal responsibility, we have transitioned from paper to electronic flyer delivery.

Weekly e-newsletters are sent to parents of our students each Monday.  These memos include a message from the principal, important upcoming events and reminders, and photos of the good things happening in our schools. 

Parent email addresses are collected from Infinite Campus.  If you are not receiving Monday Memos and other District information, please contact your child's school office.  You may also click here to sign up to receive the Monday Memo and other District information.

The Chartiers Valley School District social media sites are intended to serve as informational outlets for the community.  Inaccurate, threatening, and/or inappropriate posts and comments will be removed and reported to the relevant social media provider and law enforcement authorities.  CVSD students involved in such behavior are subject to disciplinary action.

While open conversation is welcomed and encouraged, comments containing any of the following shall not be permitted on any CVSD social media site and are subject to removal and/or restriction:

• Comments not related to the original topic/post
• Profane, lewd, vulgar, obscene, violent or pornographic images, content and/or language
• Harassment and/or discrimination of others based on race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation or national origin
• Defamatory or personal attacks
• Threats to any person or organization
• Comments in support of or in opposition to any political campaigns or ballot measures
• Solicitation of commerce including but not limited to advertising of any business or product for sale
• Conduct in violation of any federal, state or local law
• Encouragement of illegal activity
• Information that compromises the safety or security of the public or public systems
• Content that violates a legal ownership interest, such as a copyright, of any party
• Repetitive or duplicative posts by single or multiple users
• This includes but is not limited to memes, emojis or symbols reflecting any of the above

Comments posted by public members on CVSD social media sites are the opinion of the commentator and do not imply endorsement of or agreement by CVSD nor do such comments necessarily reflect the opinions or policies of the District.
