Director of Pupil Services
Regan Weldon brings more than 30 years of Special Education experience and has served in many leadership roles throughout her career, including her most recent tenure with the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit (BVIU).
As the Director of Special Education for BVIU, Ms. Weldon acted as a liaison between Beaver County schools and the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Director of Early Intervention, Coordinator of Federal and State Funding, and Director of Hiring Practices and Supervision, among several other roles.
Ms. Weldon has worked as a Special Education Compliance Monitor for the Pennsylvania Department of Education, as well as a Professional Development Trainer and Director of Special Education. Earlier in her career, she taught K-12 special education in the South Side Area School District.
Ms. Weldon earned a Masters in Special Education and Supervisory Certification from Slippery Rock University. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Special Education and Habilitative Sciences from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Weldon was approved by the School Board on April 14, 2020 and looks forward to working with the staff, students, parents and community members of Chartiers Valley beginning in July.
