Contract Negotiations

The CV School Board and Administration are thankful for the dedicated teaching faculty at Chartiers Valley School District. We know it takes a special person to become a teacher. The job can be stressful and demanding, which is why our teachers are among the highest-paid in Allegheny County. This community recognizes the outstanding job they do and rewards them for their efforts. Setting this standard of high pay is nothing new for CV, but continuing to increase the pay scales could push the District beyond its means.

The Board and Administration remain optimistic that we can reach an equitable agreement with the Chartiers Valley Federation of Teachers. Our goal is to reach a fair and equitable contract. The Chartiers Valley School District remains committed to supporting our teachers and our community alike.

We recognize that the previous contract expired on June 30, 2022, and we have been meeting in good faith since January 2022 to negotiate a new contract, participating in multiple meetings with Chartiers Valley Federation of Teachers (CVFT) representatives.

We all know that any disruption to education will be detrimental to our students – and this is something that we are doing our very best to avoid.
