Class of 2019 Celebrates Commencement


The Class of 2019 celebrated Commencement during a ceremony at Chartiers Valley High School on June 5.

Senior speakers Mirra Rasmussen, Kara Joseph and Anna Murphy addressed their class, each expressing thanks to parents, teachers and classmates and encouragement for the future.  Principal Patrick Myers and Superintendent Dr. Johannah Vanatta's speeches carried a common theme: perseverance.  

The Chartiers Valley Band and Cadenza and Select Choruses provided musical entertainment for the evening, including The National AnthemAlma Mater, and even the Friends theme song, I'll Be There for You.

Members of the School Board, Administration and Faculty attended, and hundreds of family and friends of the Class of 2019 filled the audience.  

Congratulations, graduates!
