Academic Support Programs
Teacher-Student – It is always best to have your son or daughter meet with their teacher regarding concerns for learning in the class. A student can speak to their teacher to set up an individual or series of sessions for tutoring.
After School Academic Support – This resource is available after school and provides additional support to students who need assistance in core subjects: Math and Science. Students have an opportunity to consult with a certified teacher in these particular subject areas. Each subject meets 2 times per week (Math/Sci on Tues/Thurs) until 4:15 pm. Students may utilize the activity buses for transportation home. Please contact your teacher or school counselor for more information..
Outside Services – There are various outside agencies that provide tutoring services. Below are options locally. Please note students/family are responsible for expenses associate with these programs, as well Chartiers Valley School District does not endorse any specific program.

Standardized tests and the college admissions process are making it increasingly important for students to ace their classes. Tutors can help students get better grades by helping them develop a mastery of course material. Different tutoring centers have different approaches, so parents and guardians can find the service that matches their students’ learning style.
Infinite Campus Portal – This online web based program allows you to monitor your son/daughters classes. You are able to check on their assignments and grades for each class.
Student Assistance Program – This program utilizes a team approach to identifying barriers to student learning. The focus is on concerns, goal setting, and intervention strategies to help your son/daughter become more successful at school. Initial and follow-up meetings are used to guide the student and their parent(s) through these steps.
