Summer Learning — Camps & Programs

 

High School Virtual Academy -- Acceleration and Recovery

Students who need to recover credit for a course they failed during the 2017-2018 school year may complete an online course through the Chartiers Valley Summer Virtual Academy. This program uses Edmentum Online Curriculum. All students are responsible for the cost of the recovery courses. Additionally, for credit to be given, students are responsible for completing and passing all assignments and exams. Download the Virtual Academy Recovery brochure >>

 

Students who wish to accelerate through the required sequence of math courses at Chartiers Valley may do so by completing an online course through the Virtual Academy. This program uses Edmentum Online Curriculum. High School

AP Research (Capstone): Students will read, annotate and analyze Part 1 and 2 of The Craft of Research (103 pgs).   Then the students will respond to organized spreadsheets pertaining to their specific research topic ideas utilizing Google Docs.

 

AP Calculus AB: Students will complete a packet designed to help them review and build upon some of the important mathematical concepts and skills that were learned in previous mathematics class that will be used in AP Calculus AB. All answers are expected to be accompanied by corresponding work.

Summer Enrichment Camps @ CV

 

We are pleased to host several enrichment summer camps at Chartiers Valley this summer. 

 

The camps will be provided by the following organizations:

Registration information is also included on the flyers. Parents should register their child directly with the organization that is sponsoring the camp. 

 

There are fees associated with these camps, however financial assistance may be available. Please contact the sponsoring organization directly for additional details. 

 

The camp sessions have limited availability, so register as soon as possible to secure your child's spot!
