At the tender age of 6, first grader Aarav Parthiban is already an accomplished writer and illustrator. For the
second consecutive year, Aarav is a finalist in the WQED Kids Writers Contest. Last year as a kindergartner, Aarav
earned first place with his book The Vegetable Mystery. You can watch Aarav's narration of The Vegetable Mystery on
the WQED website. Aarav's follow-up in the contest, The Secret Life of Greenwood Forest follows the efforts of
forest denizens to save a magical talking oak tree from being cut down. Aarav with record his narration of his new
story at SLB Radio and will attend the WQED award ceremony on May 19th to find out if he wins first, second, third
place or a STEM award. You can vote for Aarav's story beginning on May 11 at http://www.writeonkids.org. Good luck Aarav!
