High School girls with an interest in STEM-related careers were invited by the Applied Engineering Department and STEAM Club to interact with leading Pittsburgh area women in STEM fields on November 20th. Speakers included Mary Zeis, Chemical Engineer for Procter and Gamble, Katie Gates, Industrial Engineer with Eaton, Audrey Russo of the Pittsburgh Technology Council, and Laura S. Deklewa of Allegheny Construction Group, Inc. The informal women-only event provided students the opportunity discuss career paths in a small group setting. Q & A sessions followed each presentation to allow further exploration of speaker experiences.
