HS Veterans Day Flag Presentation Ceremony

Honored Veterans

Chartiers Valley High School honored U.S. military veterans at its 14th Annual Veterans Day Flag Presentation on November 10. More than 20 veterans dating back to service in the Korean War to those currently on active duty came to the high school on Veterans Day to accept the thanks and appreciation of students and staff for their service to our country. Mr. Harhai and Mrs. Heffley organized the event to give students a greater appreciation of the sacrifices veterans have made for the United States so that we may enjoy the quality of life that we do in this country.

The Select and Cadenza choruses God Bless America, The Star Spangled Banner and Flanders Field. The flag was presented by a color guard comprised of Private Alec Paree (Senior Student), Private Jason LaGambo (Senior Student), Specialist Michael Fenton, Staff Sergeant Christopher Macy, and Sergeant First Class Conrad Slyder.
