Chorus receives high marks at adjudication festival

Chorus students pose after the Music in the Parks Adjudication Festival

The High School Select and Cadenza chorus groups recently received and excellent rating at an adjudication in Williamsburg, Va.

The adjudication is part of the the national Music in the Parks program. Music in the Parks is a day-long or two-day festival for student choral, orchestral, and band ensembles, held annually across the United States.

Experienced vocal teachers adjudicate performances and offer suggestions for improvement. Master teachers evaluate hundreds of ensembles throughout the course of a festival season which affords them a unique perspective that an individual teacher may not be able to provide. Reinforcement from a nationally known adjudicator helps impact the performance goals of participating students.
