The Chartiers Valley High School and Middle School construction project will have a significant generational community impact. Thus, we believe public input and a transparent process are both essential to the success of this project.  There are many opportunities for the community to get involved.

Monthly Construction Updates

Each month, Mr. Jason Day, PJ Dick Construction Manager, gives an update on the Chartiers Valley High School and Middle School project. These updates occur on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm at the District Administration Building (2030 Swallow Hill Road). They are open to the public. Learn more>>

 

 

Previous Events 

As construction continues at the Middle School, we are turning our attention to what is happening inside of our schools. Parents, teachers and students had the opportunity to participate in focus groups that revolved around Defining Our Learning Culture during the fall of 2016.

Throughout the visioning, planning and design phase, the community was invited to attend monthly Community Summits to get an update on the project, ask questions and share their feedback.

 

In addition to the Community Summits, the district assembled two School Design Advisory Teams – one for the High School and one for the Middle School. These teams include Chartiers Valley teachers, administrators, staff, students, parents and community members.  The School Design Advisory Team meetings had profound discourse on how we understand and define what learning means in our district as well as how we can create flexible learning spaces that meet the needs of our students today and tomorrow.
