Kids of Steel

The Kids of Steel program kicked off in January across the CV school district. The Primary School started training on January 9th with Wednesday morning runs. This is the fifth year for the program with a record breaking 114 students. The Chartiers Valley Primary school received a $1,000 grant from P3R and funding from Nike Marathon Kids. The kids run to weekly themes. The Intermediate school is training with weekly runs after school on Tuesdays. The group of 70 participants were able to complete their first run outside! We are pleased to announce that this year we expanded the program to the Middle School during I and E periods. The MS was just awarded a $1,000 grant for starting a run club through P3R.
