May 23 Board Meeting Recap

The school board recognized several students for their outstanding academic accomplishments at the May 23, 2017 meeting. In addition, Mrs. Adrienne Floro, Middle School Principal, shared findings from the series focus groups revolving around Middle School Learning Culture and Curriculum. Dr. Brian White, Superintendent, and Mr, Nick Morelli, Director of Finance and Operations, presented the preliminary budget for the 2017-2018 school year. 

Washington, D.C. 8th Grade Field Trip 8th Graders in Washington, D.C.

More than 200 members of the 8th grade class went on an annual field trip to Washington, D.C. on Thursday, May 18.

Own a Piece of CVMS History! Buy a Brick

‚ÄčAs the Chartiers Valley Middle School moves into the new building next year, the students and staff are very excited about having their own library space for the first time in 20 years. As the final step in planning for that open space, Chartiers Valley Middle School teachers and students are selling stenciled bricks from the old High School/Middle School building as a fundraiser to purchase new materials to help achieve the vision laid out by a Student/Teacher Focus Group.

Bridgeville-South Fayette Rotary honors CVHS and CVMS students

The Rotary Club of Bridgeville – South Fayette honored two CVHS and six CVMS students at its annual Scholarship & Middle School Recognition Luncheon at BethanyPresbyterian Church on May 11.

Computer Applications class takes on storybook editing Storybook editing

Mrs. Julianna White's seventh grade Computer Applications class traveled to the Primary School on May 5th to share children's stories which they had edited from Google Docs into mini book form.
